SUSTAINABILITY
Toward a Sustainable Society Where People, Vehicles, and the Environment Coexist
ALL FOR A BEAUTIFUL WORLD OF PEOPLE, AUTO AND ENVIRONMENT
As a commercial vehicle manufacturer, FOTON takes its social responsibility seriously and strives to do its utmost to contribute to climate protection. As one of the important development strategy of FOTON, the sustainable concept has been implemented in the key links of the industrial value chain including manufacturing, electromobility, and fuel efficiency.
DUAL CARBON' STRATEGY
As a global leading commercial vehicle enterprise, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and fulfilling our social responsibility. We believe that energy conservation and environmental protection are not only beneficial to the planet, but also to our customers.
We aim to achieve carbon peaking by 2028, carbon neutrality in our core plants by 2035, and carbon neutrality across the entire value chain by 2050. The first issue of our ESG report is scheduled for release in early 2025.

FOTON to establish green supplier management system and evaluation mechanism, collecting and accounting for product carbon footprint information, actively embracing the new energy development trend, and promoting carbon reduction across the entire value chain through the application of energy-saving technologies, green materials, and green energy utilization.
NEW ENERGY STRATEGY 2.0
4 major manufacturing bases of heavy duty truck (BFDA), light duty truck, construction truck and engine (BFCEC) have obtained the green factory certification from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China, fully meeting the certification principles of “factory intensification, raw material harmlessness, production cleanliness, waste resource utilization, and energy low-carbonization”.
Investment strategy
FOTON aims to establish a strong presence in core NEV components, create a comprehensive marketing ecosystem, and enhance its manufacturing capabilities.
Technology strategy
leverage five core technology pillars: vehicle integration, electric propulsion, electronic control, power batteries, and hydrogen fuel cells, explore opportunities in lightweight design, intelligent systems, and big data analytics.
Ecological development
plan to systematically address energy consumption, energy production, and energy trading. This systematic approach will help build a user-centric and future-oriented 'co-creation, co-construction, and co-sharing' ecosystem for new energy businesses. This ecosystem will include asset management, vehicle operations, operating lease, and recycling & utilization. These entities will collectively form FOTON's 'product-centric + service-centric' business ecosystem, empowering users while also contributing value to the relevant value chains.

Infrastructure
The ventilation and lighting are good, the layout planning is reasonable, meeting the production needs, while not wasting resources; the energy metering equipment is complete.
Energy and resource input
It mainly includes renewable resources and clean energy; using new energy sources, optimizing production processes; rationally utilizing the waste heat and pressure of equipment; improving the configuration efficiency of energy by using intelligent technology and Internet of Things technology, etc.
